BORDES Marie Virginie Chauvin Bordes died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Bordes, III. She was the mother of Janet B. Stafford, John C. Bordes (Carolyn), Charles D. Bordes (Jeannie), Robert P. Bordes (Sonia), Richard J. Bordes (Gerry), David M. Bordes (Karla), Suzanne R. Mangum (Kevin), and Michael C. Bordes (Jennifer). She is survived by her sister and best friend, Dorothy M. Chauvin. She had 28 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Desire A. and Florence Daly Chauvin, her siblings, Florence C. Presti and Carroll A. Chauvin, and sons-in-law, J.C. Stafford and Samuel A. Rosman. She was a parishioner at St. Philip Neri. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation, in her name, to the charity of your choice.
