Thanksgiving day events

This thanksgiving was much different than most....usually 60-80 of my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, parents & siblings all get together in Gilbert (Cutlers Home) or Queen Creek (Price home) and have a huge feast while the kids run wild, horse shoes are clangin', football is being played or watched and chaos is in the air. It sounds crazy, but is such a blessing to be apart of such a huge family! Because Thanksgiving crept up so fast & late in the month the family decided to break off into our small families for dinner this year. I was hesitant at first...because all our kids know is the large thanksgiving and I really had it set in my head how things would go that day........

How wonderful it ended up being My parents, 5 siblings, hubby, 4 kiddos, my dads bf from Kindergarten visiting from New Orleans, and Brett's new friend K'Lee. The day & night was filled with boards games, football, basketball, deep fried Cajun turkey, moms yummo cookin' and silly pictures & laughing (frozen cosmos) throughout the night!

To be able to sit down at one table with candle light and be able to have prayer, conversation and see everyone around you was truly an intimate experience that we were so lucky to share! I'm glad we downsized this year.

A few other events over the course of the 4-5day school break....Stroller strides turkey trot, tons of Black Friday shopping, Disney movie Bolt, The Rendas for cocktails & dinner & the other Rendas for more cocktails & dinner...we are way to lucky to have so many great friends & family in our lives!
